dr Rajko Djurić
Prof. dr Rajko Djurić, rodjen je 3.oktobra 1947. u Malom Orašju, Srbija. Na Beogradskom univerzitetu (Filozofski fakultet) diplomirao je filozofiju (1971) i doktorirao sociologiju (1985). Saradnik je SANU, koja je izdavač njegove knjige „Zagonetke Roma“. U zbornicima SANU objavljen je veći broj njegovih tekstova o kulturi i holokaustu Roma.
Autor je više od 30 knjiga pesama, naučnih dela i publicistčičkih radova, koji su objavljeni u bivšoj Jugoslaviji, Srbiji, Austriji, Francuskoj, Hrvatskoj, Italiji, Japanu, Madjarskoj, Makedoniji, Nemačkoj, Poljskoj, Rumuniji, SAD, Sloveniji, Španiji,
Medju njegovim naučnim delima zazimaju posebno mesto „Istorija Roma“,“Istorija romske književnosti“ i „Istorija holokausta Roma“. Napisao je „Gramatiku romskoga jezika“ i studiju „Romski glagoli, njihovo poreklo i značenje“, koja predstavlja prvi naučno-istraživački rad te vrste u svetu.
Bio je prevodilac i stručni saradnik u filmu „Skupljači perja“ Aleksandra Saše Petrovića,
Predavao je na mnogim evropskim univerzitetima.
Dobitnik je više domaćih i inostranih nagrada i priznanja. Zajedno sa Danilom Kišom i Radomirom Konstantinovićem, dobio je 1981. Nagradu Železare Sisak u Sisku; 1992. američku nagradu Fond for free Expression; 2003. nagradu Švedskog PEN Centra „Kurt Tucholsky“; 2004. nagradu Instituta Otvoreno društvo u Budimpešti; i 2010. nagradu Instituta za kulturu u Madridu.
Bio je predsednik Medjunarodne organizacije Roma, osnivac je i predsednik Romskog PEN Centra. Bio je poslanik Narodne skupštine Srbije.

In the period 1970-2010, he published his 40 studies about the Roma history, history of the Roma holocaust, the Roma literature, language and culture. His studies on the Roma History, History of the Roma Holocaust, the Roma Language Grammar and The History of The Roma Literature particulary represent the top of the Romology science in the world today.
The majority of Djuric’s books have been published on German, French, English, Italian, Hungarian, Romanian, Macedonian, Slovak language.
Scientific Activities:
20 scientific works and about 200 scientific essays published in domestic and forign magazines as: Romani Grammar, History of The Roma, History of The Roma Holocaust, History of The Roma Literature (on Serbian, German, Slovenian, Hungarian and Romanian language), The Verbs in Romani and Their Etymology, Dictionary of the Roma Symbols
Author of the unit: The Roma, in the Encyclopedias: “Prosveta”,
He took part in the numerous specialist meetings and conference organized by SANU,JAZU, INALCO, UNESCO, ECPD, etc.
Artistic Activities:
Author of the several poem collections published on Serbo, German, French, Polish, Italian, and Spanish.
Author of the radio drama “Hidden Word” awarded the European award in
Co-author (with the serbian writer Sveta Lukić ) of the drama “History of disease”;
Co- screenwriter in the film “Dom za vešanje” directed by Emir Kusturica.
Co-author of the drama “Zoran Djindjić“ (with Zlatko Paković).
